Barrett was born and raised in Dallas, TX. He attended Texas Tech University where he received his Bachelors in Exercise Sports Science. After college, Barrett worked as a physical therapy technician while running boot camps, personal training, and completing prerequisites for nursing school.
He attended nursing school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where he received a Bachelors in Nursing. Barrett went onto work night shifts in the Parkland Hospital Women’s Emergency Room for two years while finishing his masters as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University.
Barrett and his wife Zoe have a lovely daughter named LulaMae in elementary school. He loves animals especially his dog, White Christmas Shepherd, (named by his daughter) who goes by Shep for those on a first name basis. In his spare time, Barrett enjoys movies, fishing in East Texas, staying active and cooking.
