Diana G. Bannister, RN, MSN, ACNP-BC
Diana Garcia Bannister, RN, MSN, ACNP-BC is an Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner and has been at Texas Neurology since 20012. She attended Angelo State University in San Angelo, TX for her undergraduate degree in Science in nursing. She later earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, from University of Texas at Arlington in 2011.
As an RN, she worked at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas for 12 years in the ICU and ER. Presently, she works alongside epileptologist Dr. N. Bruce Jenevein. She assists Dr. Jenevein with admissions to the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Baylor Scott and White Dallas. She has a special interest in epilepsy given that her collaborative physician is an epileptologist, though she also appreciates seeing general neurology patients.
She has completed training for BOTOX®for upper and lower limb spasticity, and has received training for VNS (vagus nerve stimulator) as well as RNS (responsive neuro-stimulation, Neuropace®).
She received her credentialing from The American Nurses Credentialing Center, a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association, and is a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN), Texas Neurological Society and the North Texas Nurse Practitioner group.
